Ever won anything

If someone says they got to go first on a train on his mum, that would just be rude.

I won a pony at a county fair, for real. I was about 10 or 11. Ended up giving it away to somebody who had a farm because our yard wasn't big enough to keep something like that, and it wouldn't be right to keep it tethered to a tree in a small meadow across the road.

I wondered then, and wonder now, WTF was my mother thinking when she entered my name in a raffle.

Back in the 90's, at Cal-Neva in Reno, I won $250 on a 25 cent video poker slot, hitting 4 aces after only putting in about $3.00😎

Surprisingly, didn't end up blowing it all, & still came out a couple of hundred ahead over the course of 2 days.😎

Later the same night, at Circus Circus, I came up one card - ONE FUCKING CARD - short of a Royal Flush on a 25 cent video poker slot. Had a shit hand with the only keepers an Ace & 10 of spades, kept those, hit the deal, & got back a King & Queen of spades.......and a Jack of CLUBS!!!🤬 Instead of $1100 for a Royal Flush, only got about $75-80 for the straight!

I've won tons of participation ribbons! They don't just award those to anyone, you know.

I won a digital watch in a Beano competition. it came through the post about 6 months after I'd entered and I had no idea why it had arrived through the post

also won some HP sauce in a raffle when I was about 10. I was very proud of having won it and kept it for about 5 years. best before date was probably about 2 years

Long ago I won $100 on a 25¢ slot machine in Las Vegas. It was my second pull and I was very excited! Now I'm happy if I win a few bucks on a lottery scratcher.
