Tired of seeing Trump or Hitler on the front page? This Firefox extension removes unwanted pages from Trending and Latest Posts

Install the extension from
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/foxreplace/

Click Extensions icon/FoxReplace/Apply automatic substitutions on page load.

To load these configuration files click Extensions/FoxReplace/Options... Click "Import from URL", paste one the URLs in the text box and click "Import and append". You can load any one of these files or all of them. They can be enabled/disabled one at a time.

Removes Trump and Hitler as an example. To add other pages click Extensions/FoxReplace/Options... Click "MC filter Trending and latest" and then "Substitutions". Click 4th line in the "Replace" column and replace "PAGE3" with page ids separated by | and finish by clicking "OK".

Remove Politics from Latest Posts

This also removes bands and other entities IMDB put in that category (nm#####).

I have used FoxReplace for a couple of years without problems and I haven't seen anyone else complaining about it either. The configuration files are just text files that set up the filtering rules. For example https://pastes.io/kjtptcmlun

Added filter to remove people (/nm#####/ pages) from Trending and Latest Posts because someone suggested this feature in an earlier discussion.

Almost nobody uses Firefox except Linux users, I switched to Edge years ago.
Chromium based browsers are most popular and they use common extensions.

The first filter has been viewed/downloaded 180 times, so there is interest in this stuff.

Here is a challenge for users of popular browsers. Make a Trump filter for the salt of the earth people. Surely one of the ~1200 users that post here monthly can rise to the challenge.

Or the sysop could just make "block this page" button.
