This is some inside baseball
sharewho is this?
shareNever heard of him, doing a little checking I see a former poster on IMDb and Film Boards https://www.filmboards.com/user/legacy/wears-alan/
Whether this person is the 'Alan Wears' mentioned in a now deleted link is unclear to me. Maybe this is some kind of ongoing joke about a prolific poster (wears-alan) who stopped posting and nobody knows what happened to him. EDIT: see below about wears-alan vs MC poster wearsalan
RIP if it is true, but it would appear that there have been previous unfounded reports of his demise.
Regardless, that post was removed for violating MovieChat's Community Standards, specifically:
Prohibited Content:
10. Personal and confidential information, such as another user's name or contact information, unless you have express consent to post that information.
If this is true, it's really sad.
Karate Kid 3 board had the best discussions and Wears Alan was big part of that. He have great passion to Mr. Miyagi and Daniel. A truly Karate Kid fan.
He was part of MovieChat family.
RIP Wears Alan.
He never had an account here. All his posts are carry-overs from IMDb.
shareYes he have:

huh. Is this the same guy as https://www.filmboards.com/user/legacy/wears-alan/ who said 6 years ago he was stopping posting?
Note, this wears-alan is a hold-over from IMDb (wears-alan as opposed to wearsalan)

MovieChat only permits letters and numbers within a username, so he would have needed to modify the spelling when creating his account here.
shareOK, thanks. Sounds like he quit filmboards and came here. I am not familiar with this user and no disrespect was intended with anything I wrote above (we may be talking about someone who has passed away).
shareWhen I saw the title, I thought this might be an Ed Gein type situation.
Thankfully, it wasn't.
Who?
shareDon't google him. Don't watch any documentaries on him. Just don't.
shareAt first glance I though you meant Ed Grimley

shareIt took me a moment then I got the joke. Too funny!
