When do you start buying Christmas presents

I don't. The kids in the family get money from us and I don't buy gifts for adults.

I don't really buy Christmas presents for anyone, just greeting cards.

I keep an eye out for sales year-round. These events can offer better discounts than the After-Thanksgiving Sales, which have been overhyped by the media and are some of the biggest scams ever conceived. If I see something I think someone would like as a gift, I buy it then and store it away until December. I've purchased Christmas gifts as early as February.

If people would do this they could have 90% of their holiday shopping done before Halloween. Spreading out purchases makes it easier on the bank account and is probably better for the economy. There would be no reason to ruin the Thanksgiving weekend with this "Black Friday" rubbish.

Save the holiday season.

My wife and I have already started. We just buy things here and there so we don't go broke around the holidays.
