I don't really like stand up comedy for this reason

They get pissed off if people aren't laughing and their set just becomes about the audience sucking.

It kills the mood.

Unfortunately I experienced this last night.

Stand ups are too fragile.

Laughing is not something an audience has to do to stroke someone's self esteem.

I got tired of all the "black folks do this, white folks do that" jokes...

One black guy openly said he's racist, bit good racist, helpful racist. He also roasted some Swedish girls saying "so back in your country, when you speak to one of the three black people there"... that was the one joke I liked.

I've never noticed that with live stand up. If the audience isn't laughing then most I've seen tend to double down.

I've seen the opposite happen. My wife is the type you get her laughing and she is uncontrollable. We saw an act called Wylde & Haynes. She started laughing and couldn't shut it down. She actually got so bad she distracted them and threw off their timing. At the end of the show they had a meet and greet. They recognized her right away. One came up to her, shook her hand and congratulated her. They also gave her an autograph with the caption: Thanks For the Laughter.

Here's a funny bit. Its a little skinny white guy making fun of Ice-T, really goofing on him :
