Jimmy Buffett dead at 76

I only saw him once in concert, at Madison Square Garden in 2007. The thing that struck me the most was that these were the happiest fans I've ever been around, and I've been to a lot of concerts. Just the friendliest vibe of any show. He did create something very special.

That's really bad news!
A bit too young, the guy deserved another decade of Margaritas or Cheeseburgers on the beach.

R.I.P.

reply

Well, well, well, look who's back. Did your kids prevail?

reply

Not entirely, I'm still having trouble with the iPhone, I'm on a laptop for now.

I think you should assume your alternate Shogunjr identity too. More Shogun to go around.

reply

Oh, there's plenty of me to go around lol

I met him at his resort in Lake of the Ozarks twice this past summer, once in June and the other in August at his Margarita Ville Resort, formerly known as Tan Tar-A.. Nice man, he drove a brand new white scooter around the resort throughout the day & evening, stopped to mingle with the occassional guest and liked to keep sort of a low profile because he was retired from touring and whatnot.. He seemed like he was in decent shape, but what do I know?? R.I.P Jimmy

You're a Buffethead?

reply

Yeah, great music.. Very relaxing.. He was a very nice man and he loved the fans

reply

Parrothead? No, I only saw the one concert. I am a Deadhead so I get the term, loyal fans who attend many concerts, may travel far and wide to do so, and create a social scene.
