I live in Reno but have only been to Vegas twice, once in the mid 1990s (which was before I moved to Reno), and once about five years ago. I loved it both times. There is much to see and do besides gambling. World-class shopping and dining, for example.

My wife and I went about 15 years and had a lot of fun.

Yes, a few times. Love it! Hot as hell this time of year, but everything is air-conditioned and a lot of the outdoor attractions (Bellagio fountains, etc.) are mainly nighttime things.

I'm sure it'd be fine if I had any reason to go, i didnt dislike it, but I'm just not interested in gambling, bars, or the sort of shows they have there. Why take the trouble of getting there.
