Hurricane + Earthquake For L.A.

Eh, 6.0 isn't much. A few vases fall over, the quake has 15 minutes of internet fame.

Any interesting rain? I'm in NoCal, where it's just gray and extremely humid. I'm supposed to be spending the day assembling Ikea furniture and remaking a corner of the bedroom, but this kind of humidity saps all ambition.

Crazy heat here until Saturday and then back to seasonal weather. Overall, it's been a very pleasant summer here, but this week will be dry and HOT. Will have to water my flowers almost daily until next weekend - no rain in the forecast for a while.

Looks like schools all across Coachella Valley and thereabouts are closed tomorrow.

I'm in L.A., beach cities. The earthquake was nothing, as usual. We didn't fall into the sea. And this is just a heavy rain. There's no wind. It's not a hurricane. It's just unusual because it never rains in summer here.
