What can I do legally if im in a homeless shelter and they are invading my privacy?

The director said not to worry after I told him I cannot do it
I vaccum the hallway and clean the restroom
But this poor guy coly whom does labor for free around here to keep the house running keeps taking the garbage out of the restroom and i just got the job so i havent been cleaning the restroom, bunch of people here caught some kind of stomach bug and my digestion was messed up using miralax because not having a gallbladder and no vegetables to eat
Theres free food but no vegetables and i need those for my digestive ststem, i have no gall bladder, so i leave in the morning and eat vegtables
Haven't you got a friend you can stay with instead?

Have they threatened to kick you out if you refuse? You should check your tenancy contract, if it doesn't mention anything about cleaning then they can't evict you. Sounds like you're already helping out around the property so i can't see how they would be able to justify it.

Put your mind at ease and have a chat with the director again. Just to double check that your room is safe.
Tell him you are happy to help tidy up in your spare time, but you can't commit to a set role in the property as you have another job. He should understand- his role is to help people move forward with their lives, not to have slave labour.

Because if it's the shelter, perhaps it isn't a terrible thing to contribute to the running of a shelter that's undoubtedly underfunded, as long as it doesn't interfere with your paid work.
