shareIt doesn't surprise me either. However, I've always wondered how much of Byrne's "eccentricity" is genuine and how much of it is "contrived," to a certain degree.
By the way, Byrne would probably never call himself a "great guitar player," but I just love his playing on the acoustic version of "Psycho Killer" that appears on "Stop Making Sense." Also, his playing on "Burning Down The House" and "Take Me To The River" (which is actually a cover of an Al Green song, if I remember correctly). He definitely makes the most of his talent and I think he's a great songwriter...very creative indeed.
i saw him interviewed by bill maher a few weeks and he looked fine.
