Songs You "Half-Love"?
I love the first half of "Band on the Run" by Wings ("If we ever get out of here") - probably my favorite guitar riff (also has one of my favorite piano riffs in "1985"), but I don't like the second half at all..

shareI generally like songs with major chord changes halfway through (like 'Band on the Run', 'Leyla' and the extended version of 'Hard to Say I'm Sorry'). I like it when an artist takes a swerve like that, rather than repeat the same simple chords/versus and choruses for 3 minutes (and I do find that it's the shorter songs that tend to have the least variety).
share"Carry On" by Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young...love the intro and first half of the song, but don't like the 2nd half of the song nearly as much.
share"Can't You Hear Me Knocking" by the Rolling Stones. Incredible first 2:45 followed by a terrible remainder of the song of some weird acid jazz monstrosity.

carry on my wayward son sort of falls apart in the middle.
shareRheinhardt and Geraldine/ Colores Para Delores by Kevin Ayers. You’ll understand why when you hear it.
shareI guess by the virtue of how it's titled it's two separate tracks but Funeral for a Friend / Love Lies Bleeding by Elton John. I'm pretty happy with it right up until the vocals kick in, then not so much.
