Have You Ever Flown A Kite?
Yes, for me. When I was a kid. I even learned to make one from scratch in elementary school.
I just wondered if it's something children stopped doing a long time ago.

Yes but haven't done so in over 20 years.
shareI did fly a kite when I was a kid. I bought a kite from a store.
shareYes, many years ago when I was a kid.
shareWhen I was a kid, but best done in an open area - no trees or electric lines.
shareNope.
shareWhen I was a kid, and even then I thought it was dead boring.
Now I never see kids flying kites, just adults with lots of disposable income. Huge, elaborate, high-tech kites are a thing.

Sure, mostly as a kid. It was great fun.
Last time was about twenty years ago. Flew it in a park, got it so high that when it started to come down, I thought it was going to land in traffic. Not a nice feeling.
Best place to fly them is in a farmer's field in my opinion.
I did and what's more, I only had tuppence for paper and strings. I seem to remember that it went up to the highest height, up through the atmosphere and up where the air is clear. When I sent it flyin' up there, all at once I was lighter than air. Furthermore, I found that you can dance on the breeze over 'ouses and trees with your fist 'olding tight to the strings of your kite.
I would urge anyone to respond affirmatively if addressed with the suggestion "let's go fly a kite". I also have a number of thoughts about ingesting pharmaceutical preparations with the aid of simple carbohydrates, if anyone is interested.
