Any theories on the Nicola bulley disappearance?

I don't know how many people here have heard of this case, but.....

On 27 January 2023, Bulley drove from her home in Inskip to the nearby village of St. Michael's on Wyre where, after dropping her children off at school, she walked down Garstang Road and along the River Wyre with Willow. At 8:53, Bulley sent an e-mail to her employer and at 9:01 she joined a Microsoft Teams call. At 9:30 the call ended, only for Bulley to stay logged on. Willow's harness and Bulley's mobile phone, still connected to the call, were found at a bench by another dog walker at 9:35; not too long later, Willow was found alone and distressed nearby, completely dry.

Some say she may have fallen into the river. I have my doubts. Hope they find her save. But I have my doubts about that also.

I have my doubts too, the river doesn't seem very deep. theres no drag to the water, they've searched it with dogs and nothing. we know she has walked this path 1000s of times before so she knew what she was doing and her dog was also dry, meaning she hadn't dived in to save him.

very strange

I have two theories:

1: Like Sherri Papini in my area, she's off on a sex-and-drugs bender with some guy, and will reappear in a couple of weeks with a cockamamie story about being kidnapped.

2: What was the air and water temperature like when she vanished? Because if she'd gone into the river for whatever reason, like to get something out of the water other than the dog, then she might have drowned. Winter clothing can get waterlogged and drag a person down very fast, and cold winter water can cause hypothermia and a paralyzed diaphragm amazingly quickly. Immerse a person in icy water and they can find themselves being dragged down by their clothing and unable to breathe in less than a minute.

It appears that one of my theories was correct.

or a suicide.

reply

Maybe, but I'm inclined to think it was an accident. Drowning can happen incredibly fast in winter, waterlogged winter clothes can drag a person under with astonishing speed and then the cold water makes a person gasp instinctively.

We'll probably never know the whole story.

they found her body in the water so it was either an accident or suicide. so many conspiracy theories around this. i feel bad for the police who have to deal with the internet crime experts
