A very thought-provoking revisionist western, where the conflicts are not so subtle, nor the resolutions. I'm amazed this film isn't more known.
westerns got a lot darker in the 1970s. this is a good example. it was hard to tell the good guys from the bad guys.

You might enjoy Mad Dog Morgan (76) starring Dennis Hopper as an Irish convict in Australia during the penal colony days who becomes an outlaw, thief and killer. It’s sort of based on a true story.
It’s just like a western but it doesn’t happen in America.
