Favorite Movies for Fall
What are the movies you like to watch every Autumn?
sharePlanes, Trains and Automobiles. There's a new 4k version out this November with over an hour of never before seen scenes!
shareIt's wonderful and touching film. But it's really necessary to watch such a long version of the movie? I am guessing there's a reason these scenes didn't go into the film. Anyway, great recommendation.
shareI'm sure some of the extra scenes won't hit the mark but Hughes fans have been waiting for this extended cut for years, people knew of the original running time but for the longest time we didn’t know this extended cut still existed. I’m very excited to see it.
shareMaybe I'm in the minority among movies fans but I never being enthusiastic to seen director cuts. Although the scene that Ticketsplease write about makes me a little curious. Still one interesting thing about extra scenes is the glimpse to behind the scenes of the directing and editing of a movie. Sometimes good scene are left out of a film because it's too sad/dark/violent or any other reason that not necessarily related to the quality of the scene itself.
I am happy for you and any other fans of the movie. It's maybe the "It's a Wonderful Life" of the 1980s.
Actually there's a scene cut which explains his wife's weird reaction when they turn up. I forget what it is but I always found his wife to be a little weird at the end.
shareYou know, in the old good IMDb before they remove the movies boards I tried to create a poll about Planes, Trains and Automobiles ending but they never picked it. I ask what do you think about the final scene: Heartwarming or Sad? For me the ending is big part of the magic of the movie.
shareI've read Susan (Laila Robins) should have a bigger part, throughout the film she thinks her husband is having an affair with some girl name Del.
shareLots of horror, especially the old 70s and 80s slasher classics…the big franchises and some of the great ones that are not so well known.
eta: that’s all year though, but Halloween is coming so I double my ‘efforts’ this month.
The Dark Half (1993)
shareOnes with purdy leaves.
shareI don't watch them every year, but Halloween and The Sixth Sense are typical fall movies for me.
shareHere's my list:
For Sad Moods: Ordinary People, The Ice Storm
For Happy Moods: Mystic Pizza, Baby Boom
Horror: The Exorcist, The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane
