🏈 NFL Thursday Night Football, now FREE at select AMC Theatres!

No need for an Amazon subscription to see Thursday Night NFL Football! Free admission at select AMC theaters, with NO requirement to buy food or drinks. (They just assume that you will do that.)

When AMC showed out-of-market NFL games on Sundays in 2021, admission was free. But they required a food and drink voucher purchase, which I think was US $10. they got very little interest.

Can't they leave things alone? I liked it when all of the games were broadcast on Sunday afternoons with the only exception being Monday Night Football. There are getting to be too many of these night games.

And I'm not about to have to drive somewhere just to watch a televised game. Nor do I care to sit in a crowded theater with a bunch of obnoxious fans yelling at the screen. Do they think the players can hear them?

I live in the northern central part of the U.S. where the home games traditionally begin at noon. This is perfect... just in time for lunch. Warm up some pizza and enjoy an afternoon of football. There have been multiple occasions where I got all prepared to watch the game, turned on the TV only to find out it had been moved to Sunday night. I wish the NFL would stick to the schedules that are published at the beginning of the season.

bridgewater would not be on my rooster, he's trash

reply

What makes you say that?

reply

the pick he threw last nite gave me flashbacks of him at denver & minnesota, and if he gets hit he gets hurt

reply

I play FF but Bridgewater has never been on my radar - went back and looked at his injury history and I don't see anything to make me think he's more injury prone than other players.

I thought he stepped into the game when Tua was hurt and looked prepared to play.

If being concerned about injuries is an issue, we should never have drafted Tua in the first place - I was surprised that we took him instead of Herbert, but then the Dolphins have never been known for making wise QB decisions.

Also, the rules for TNF should be changed and teams should only play after a bye - 4 days is not enough time for a team to recover.

Dolphins drafted Dan Marino... I think there was another guy about 10 years ago, but he might have come from the Jets... wasn't Ryan Tannehill a Dolphin for a few years?

Bob Griese...

Chad Pennington - he's not even on Dolphins Wiki page...

reply

Perhaps I shouldn't have said never, but we haven't made good QB decisions since Marino and that's a long 22 year dry spell. It's been especially bad since Ross bought the franchise. We passed on a couple of super stars - Brees and Herbert. While Tannehill may have done better in Tennessee, he certainly isn't a great QB.

if they lose to jets the season's over

If he incorrectly diagnosed Tua then he needs to go. If he was pressured by the organization then he still needs to go, but further action needs to be taken.with whomever is behind this mess.

The idiot who owns the team is still on suspension, so can't blame this one on him. Too bad, I would like to see him gone.

I don't shop on Amazon and refuse to pay to watch TNF for 4 months on Amazon Prime, but going to a movie theater with recliners sounds like a lot of fun and I will certainly pay for overpriced concessions as a "thank you" to AMC and "screw you" to Amazon.

Fortunately, my Dolphins are playing here in Cincinnati, so I get to watch the game at home.

All the Latino dancers come onto the floor!
We have such a multi cultural country.

The NFL Network began airing a rerun of the Thursday Night game on its own channel not long after the game ended. The have aired more reruns since then.

So if you get that channel, you can see the game (and others that are rerun.)

reply

But I know the outcome, so that seems pointless.

reply

Next thing you know the NFL is going to start using the Amazon Prime football.

reply

You can also watch for free without membership on twitch (whatever that is lol) at https://www.twitch.tv/primevideo

I don't have prime so that's what I've been doing.

reply

What is that? Sorry, I don't stream anything, so please fill me in.

reply

The twitch website that streams the game. Apparently Amazon owns twotch. You don't need to login or be a member. You could bring it up in your web browser on a smart TV or cast via laptop connection. But, it is streaming so it may not work for you.
