Some of my old coins

In the order they appear in the album:

1/2. 2 x two pence, 1900.
3/4. Half penny, 1908.
5/6. Two pence, 1890.
7/8. Three pence, 1900.
9/10. One US cent, 1847.

All are British, apart for the last one, obviously. I'm skeptical about the validity of the last one, it almost seems too good to be true. I wonder if it's worth anything.

Queen Victoria reigned/lived until 1901, then it was Edward VII until 1910.

Coins with a lot of wear won't be worth much unless it's an extremely rare date.

I've never heard of third farthings and third guineas before I saw that price list. They must be extremely rare.

Nice collection. I find coins interesting as well and have a small box of them from around the world tucked away but I’ve no idea of their value. I have a couple foreign bills too. It’s funny how drab American bills are compared to paper money other countries.

I don't know how valuable they are but I've seen crafters use old American bills for their artwork projects. I wouldn't dare do that.

I'm not a collector, but certainly find them interesting. Paper money, too, like a US $500 and $1000 bill. I get a general idea of how much they are worth from eBay--just make sure you are looking at the asking price (better: sold price) and not an auction in progress. Funny how in the coin world a grade of "good" means it looks quite worn.
