I saw in a recent thread that Affleck had directed a few films I was unaware of and I started researching his career. I first was aware of him as the school asshole in Dazed and Confused. He had great success with Good Will Hunting in 1995 and a decade or so of lead movie roles until Gigli almost ended his career. He was a bit of a joke because of his romance with JLo and I kind of wrote him off as a actor. He really has rallied from that and I owe him a apology for disrespecting his overall talent as a actor, writer producer and director.

He has real talent, and if he'd kept his nose to the grindstone he might be the next James Cameron by now.

But no, he prefers to spend his time getting hammered, gambling, and marrying badly.

WHY?...DUDE WAS INTO JENNIFER LOPEZ...HOW DID THAT MAKE HIM A JOKE OR AN ACTOR TO RIGHT OFF?🤔

AND IF YOU WANNA GO CHECK HIS IMDB...YOU WILL SEE CONSISTANT STUDIO AND THEATRICAL RUN FILMS SINCE THE EARLY 90S...WITH ALMOST NO YEARS WITHOUT AFFLECK FILMS...INCLUDING HIS AWARD WINNING DIRECTORIAL EFFORTS.

Thats a pretty low response from someone I expect more from..I don't give a shit about him, but he has really tried to be a good director/actor. I give him the benefit of the doubt.

I have no problem with him. He's tried to step up and be something special, but I just don't see it.
