Anita Blake went to crap very fast. Like 4 or 5 action-packed novels and then endless erotic fantasy

That's why no one will ever take a chance with adapting that stuff. It would be like if Twilight and 50 Shades of Grey were actually in the same franchise

I remember reading the first two Anita Blake books then lost track of the series. Sounds like the author thought only the sex part of the story was selling.

Terry Pratchett s Discworld series needs a good adaptation. Maybe a series of mini series for each book. I know that a few of the Discworld novels have been adapted for TV. Hogfather was pretty well done. Then they did that awful Watch show. I'm glad it got canceled. Anyway if they could get the characters and humor right it could be great.

The Red Rising series by Pierce Brown. I thought Ridley Scott's production company bought the rights several years back, but I haven't heard anything for a while.

Maybe they are taking their time to do it the right way. Sometimes these things can take a long time to develop.
