One reviewer called it "a one-joke movie that never gets old". Having seen it, I am inclined to agree. Beavis and Butt-head has always been more of a commentary about the society that allows the duo to exist and thrive than it is a celebration of their antics.
I'm definitely going to watch it streaming, but when you read the Critics reviews on rotten tomatoes, you'd think it was up for an Oscar. Seriously 55+ critics reviews, and I read the first 10, which basically said Loved it. It makes you realize everyone's getting a little tired of the serious/message/political crap, and wants just some simple fun laughs.
A new Beavis and Butt-Head movie? That's awesome. I had no idea that any such thing was even in the works. Judging from the trailer, Mike Judge did a pretty good job voicing Beavis and Butt-Head too. He sounds more like he did in the original 1990s episodes than in the ones he did in 2011.
Too bad it has an entirely digital look though, so even if the movie itself is good, it will never look as good as Beavis and Butt-Head Do America (1996).
Also, why do you care what movie critics think about anything?
I don't really care what critics think, but I'm a numbers person. I normally scan RT critics reviews to get a sense of how they feel. In this case I realized I was scanning down, and down and only 1 review was a splat. Do you know how rare that is.
Yes very good, beavis and butt head is like Alan partridge, they are character that will always be funny, and maybe even get better. It is is very rare
