shareSome songs are lofty. Some are sweet sounding. Some sound nice. This song sounds like it is holding a weapon. To call it "bad-ass" would be going a taste too far. "Mean" is just right.

In the 80's I would blast it when I was upset. Lol.
3-10. The lyrics are awkward, but I do think they are trying to say something. The overall effect is amateurish. The singer can't carry a tune.

I believe you, but that is my own impression of that particular song, and some of their others. It is my rating. I wouldn't go across the street to hear them perform it. Maybe the power and glory of it are lost upon me. Or maybe I'm not impressed as are others. I didn't mean to offend you, but rather give my honest opinion.

Hey, I'm Devo's number one fan. I love that band.
And I'm not offended. I was giving some background because rock "experts" drop Joy Division's name a lot. Most Americans at least have never heard of them.
Awesome. Hey, I'm a Bob Dylan freak and I've heard many times from people who don't 'like' him. Maybe Joy Division is over my head like Bob is over theirs, or maybe they do in fact suck. Who knows ? :) Art is in the eyes of the artist and beholder.
