Is cracker an offensive racist term?

I heard that very difficult actor Wesley Snipes referred to Ryan Reynolds as a cracker on the set of Blade Trinity.

I'm sure if Ryan had referred to him as a racist term he would be blacklisted from Hollywood.

So is it not as bad or double standards?

You may need to go into the night to find out.

Oooh, I saw what you did there.

reply

And hope a Blackman calls me a cracker?

reply

He's an Australian man.

I don't think it's offensive.

reply

No.

reply

No, it's not. The Brits would just say water biscuit.

reply

It’s a racial slur, but it also doesn’t have any power because the target group doesn’t get offended. They are more likely to get upset over the double standard.

reply

Yeah, I agree with this.

Amen!

🤨

No, but Cracker is the name of an awesome crime drama from the 90s starring Robbie Coltrane.

reply

It was great!

reply

Yeah I loved Cracker. Wire in the Blood also 👍

reply

It can be if you let it.

I once saw Terry Fator perform with his puppet Julius. Julius told him he didn't have any soul and Terry asked why. Julius responded: Because you're a Cracker.

The white people in the audience laughed hardest of all.

These days, "person" is a racist term.....
