My parents are reluctant to pick up food at Chinatown.

We were thinking about picking up Chinese food from Chinatown for Christmas but we heard about a elderly Chinese-American man who lives in that area being shot to death while picking up a newspaper. Now, my father doesn't want to go to Chinatown because of the crime there. It's not an isolated incident, there's been many assaults going on there since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in the U.S....mostly targeted at Asians.
