How many murders do you reckon go unsolved because witnesses incorrectly believe they would be snitches...
...if they reported it to the police?

shareSpeaking personally I wouldn't report a murder unless I had to. That's just a lot of time and effort on my part for something that doesn't really concern me, not to mention potentially making me a target of the murderer. Also in some cases reporting a murder will make you a suspect, for instance I wouldn't report a dead body if I found it while walking alone in the woods. Too easy for a prosecutor to pin it on me if they can't find someone else.
shareI understand your fears, the cops are going to look at you first when you report a body in the swamp
As long as you are innocent and simply performing a civic duty you'll have nothing to fear
Also, there's a family out there that wants to know what became of their kin
And not for nothing but a fellow that dumps a body in the woods has probably done it before and will do again
This violent maniac needs to be stopped and imprisoned and your call could help👍
I don't think that many.
I do think that for cold case files, there are a lot that police know or have a great idea who committed the murder, but they just don't have any or enough evidence to prosecute the person.
Or they know almost 100% who it is but they wait for them to commit another murder so they have an airtight case. It's messed up but it's better than trying the case with flimsy evidence and letting a killer go free
