No Time To Die - Bond and Felix playing spoof in nightclub (coin game) - does anyone else play this?
My mates and I play this regularly for rounds down the pub.

Never heard of it until now. I like it because it is interesting and the rules are easy to follow, which is important when people are a little drunk! It reminds me of the Chinese gambling game Fan-Tan, though I imagine unrelated. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fan-Tan
I've only seen two gambling games in a bar (but they aren't strictly speaking drinking games). Bars where I was a regular. I don't remember precisely but the first had to do with players picking a card from a standard deck and whoever's number matched the number of a winning horse in a televised race won (a cable channel that televised horse races all day, but the game certainly wasn't played all day). I played only a couple of times so I don't really remember how it worked exactly. I see that there there is a drinking game "Horserace" which is different as it doesn't involve an actual horse race.
The other was a game each person could only play once a day. You paid $1 to play. Five dice are in a cup. Whoever rolls 5 of a kind wins. I think you got to roll twice, keeping whatever dice you wanted on the table (in one shot would take too long to get a winner). For example if you roll three 2's, you keep those on the table and roll the the other two. If there are no winners the money in the pot remains to the next day. However this was a number of years ago and I cant be sure of the rules, whether it was 5 of a kind or something else, or the number of rolls.
When there’s 2 or 3 of you, it’s no big deal, but if there’s a dozen of you playing, then it can get quite expensive.
shareI saw this scene in "No Time to Die" where Bond and Felix play a fake game of coin-operated nightclub. It looked like a very fun and intense game! I'm not sure how many people play it in real life, but it definitely adds an exciting element to the movie. Tried to find a review of something like this https://casinosanalyzer.com/online-casinos/candyland.casino but didn't quite make it. If you're interested in trying it, you can get some friends together and give it a try. Just remember to set the rules beforehand and prepare enough coins. This could be a great way to add a little James Bond to your game nights! Let me know if you decide to try it or if you have any other favorite Bond moments. Enjoy your games!
