What’s the best streaming service for movies?

Does anyone beat Netflix?

reply

I really think that that depends on where in the world you are.

reply

The Criterion Channel is the best.

reply

Indeed.

Netflix for me. And it's better when you use a VPN. Cause most of the good stuff aren't usually on the US Netflix service

reply

Eh.

Depends what you're into, doesn't it? Personally, I find more stuff to watch on Amazon Prime than on Netflix - which seems to be better for television/streaming series than for movies. But I wouldn't claim there's a vast gulf of difference between the two services.

But I also probably find more that interests me on Mubi and BFI Player than either Amazon Prime or BFI... so, yeah: it's horses for courses really, innit? I don't think there's a definitive 'best'.

The 'Go Piss Yourself Because You Are A Little Chump With No Balls' streaming service seems like a fine fit for you dirtbag

up until that rotten thread he started this week, i would have called him annoying but harmless and occasionally fun.

but now...

fuck that guy.

reply

Yes, I feel the same, it was a fun silly goof poster but sort of entertaining in it's own way

But it went too far with the 9/11 stuff and I looked into it's posting history, this one needs to be chased off

I'm on it

I like Vudu. But it's not "pay once price" like Netflix, you either buy or rent individual movies. They also have a bunch of free movies with ads.

reply

I always think that rental prices for digital is too high. Unless it's a new release, why not make it $2 like a blockbuster?

reply

I agree, especially the "Theater at Home" rentals (movies that are currently playing in theaters) which are insanely expensive ($19.99).
