Podcasts w/ Mobsters?

A couple of people mentioned they watched this stuff on YouTube. I've seen videos by Michael Franceze and Sammy "The Bull" Gravano, and they seem trustworthy for mobsters, especially the latter.

Anyway, if you know more "made guys" with their own channels, or if you'd like to say something about the guys I mentioned, please reply.

My one lament is how every gangster wants to say something about Hoffa, but I remember watching Franceze a long time ago, but thinking to myself, "He's full of shit".. I'll tell you why. He talked about Hoffa as a trophy, which is why he's buried in NJ.... Someone as big as Hoffa? You don't wanna get caught, so you burn the body ASAP... I've always been interested in Hoffa, as a rebel, as the greatest labor man, as the man who helped create the middle-class, since even non-unionized private business would try to give fair wages in fear of being unionized, strikes, etc.

As an aside for movie fans, there's one site I could find if anyone wants it.. Mostly related to The Godfather, things like, "How Dd Michael Know It Was Roth Who Was The Enemy?", etc., which I'm sure would pop up if you typed out that line on YouTube.

Check out the "hollywood godfather" podcast, it's a guy called gianni russo, talking about his life, and other mob themes, if you don't know who he is, he played carlo in the godfather, although he wasn't officially made, he claims that frank costello was his mentor, that he was running money for the mob with the vatican, that he slept with marilyn monroe was he was 15, and he knocked out one of sigfried and roys white tigers with one punch when it jumped into the crowd during a show and that pablo escobar kidnapped him, but then let him go after he realized who he was and the two recreated a couple of godfather scenes.

Although it's obvious he's at the very least exagerating, or blatently lying, it's difficult to know how much is true and how much is fiction, his podcast is full of big names like frankie valli, robert de niro and nick pileggi also endorsed his book....

he's a fascinating guy, but like i say, who knows whats true and whats BS

He was the one I forgot to mention. Someone on VladTV said Russo is full of shit. Perhaps Franceze, but I haven't watched enough to have a strong opinion, but I would say Russo is probably the least credible.

the strange thing with russo, and i'm not saying that i believe everything he says, but some of things he says, even the most outlandish stuff has been proven to be true. Frankie Valli, who is a major star, jersey boys is based on his life, said "we've been friends since we were kids"

Gianni got a role in the godfather, a pretty decent role, the opening scene is his wedding, his character played an important role in the arc of the story. but he was just some poor kid from the neighbourhood, hadn't acted a day in his life. so how did he get that role?

Even franzese recognizes that gianni knew costello.... thats the most fascinating thing about russo, trying to figure out whats bullshit and whats true.

I've seen a lot of docs and read a lot of books about these sorts of guys, Mob stories are always entertaining

I wouldn't trust any of them as far as I could pick their garlic bread-stuffed bellies up and chuck them off a pier... they are all a bunch of liars, murderers, dirtbags and extortionists

I like the Mob stories but I wouldn't believe a word these dishonest bums say

Gravano killed way more people than Gotti and turned for a deal, Franceze's own FATHER agreed to a hit on him, his own boy

Bunch of lying shitheads, the lot of them

i'm up on everything you're talking about. franzese, i thought, intimated that hoffa was 'in the water'.

he is a bit sanctimonious to me, sammy is saltier. way more my style. they're both likeable, but sammy is hilarious.

another guy making waves is jimmy calandra. he was just a street guy, not made, but grew up Bensonhurst, where evid. you couldn't swing a cat without hitting a wise guy. rough patch of earth.

anyway, he's started feuds with lots of 'made guys', calling them liars - esp. johnny alite, who he calls johnny aliar, and larry mazza, who worked for a psychotic capo named greg scarpa.

its fun watching them all carp at each other.

Thanks.. I remember you being one who was talking about "Mafia YouTube" and thought I'd start this topic..

Your descriptions are so spot-on, despite me only watching a little bit. And yes, saltier is also my style. I wonder if Michael is that way to constantly pump himself up (humble-bragging) and how much is this "born again" stuff... (If you were able to be born again, why would you come back as Michael Fron-chay-zee - he can't even pronounce his name correctly in Italian!)

Never heard of the other guys you mentioned, but I will check them out.... Lately, I was watching the NBA players call each other out, including others in similar businesses with Kwame Brown, Stephen Jackson, Tommy Sotomayor, Matt Barnes, Steve A. Snitch, etc.. Sometimes it gets old, but you can watch a bit each week and probably be "caught up", since many are redundant.
