What do dates taste like?

They taste about as good as they look. I don't like them at all. They have a very unpleasant, nasty taste to them.

Dude, like natures caramel. They are both sweet and savory. I go through a box of Medjool dates every other week. Just today I had some with peanut butter and chocolate chips. Fucking delicious.

Medjool dates are delicious. Regular dried dates are disgusting, though.

Dates are chewy and sweet. I make Date Nut Pinwheels, a roll up cookie with a cooked jam made of dates and nuts in the center. They are delish.

I haven't had one since I was a kid, but I remember them tasting like a chewy, rubbery chunk of maple syrup mixed with raisins. I didn't like them.
