Rifleman was on from 11pm to midnight when I was in college and we would bet on how many people Lucas would kill. If you heard that soft lilting music you figured Mark had a girlfriend and no one would get killed. I recently watched the first ten episodes found free on youtube. The first 3 shows featured young gunslingers Dennis Hopper, Michael Landon and James Drury.

It always bothers me when Hollywood hires short kid actors with tall fathers like in Fathers Knows Best. I know they want the kid to continue to look young as long as possible but Crawford only grew to 5'8 from a supposed 6'6 father.
