Does anybody know of any websites with comment boards for sports fans

I know on here there's very little interest

which sport?

reply

ESPN used to have one...a long time ago. Message boards are just dying out....

reply

Message boards are being killed by trolls and people who like to make rude remarks. Message boards are a form of social media and we all know the state of affairs when it comes to social media. It facilitates the easy dissemination of hate speech and is contributing to the polarization of our society.

Yahoo no longer allows comments. AOL shut down their comment sections temporarily; users must now create an account and sign in if they wish to participate.

You can rest assured if there were a sports board it would be filled with non-sports related remarks. Usually garbage posts about stupid politics.

"Message boards are being killed by trolls and people who like to make rude remarks"

no, they are being killed by censorship...... the people in power can't have anyone questioning them.

rude remarks? are you that soft that words hurt you?

reply

Mere words don't hurt me, but there are those who are easily offended. These are the ones who are constantly reporting things to the moderators. The moderators are probably tired of the overwhelming number of complaints and are finding it easier to just shut the whole thing down.

reply

it was an excuse......... Hollywood was tired of getting exposed as the fakes they are.

reply

I'd say Reddit or the comment section of any good sports channel on YouTube.

reply

Youtube, of course! I don't know why I didn't think of that, I've read comments there before. I guess when you're thinking of sports YouTube doesn't come to mind. I haven't seen much of Reddit (oh now I get it--"read it," haha) but isn't it kind of a nasty free-for-all, or so I've read?

reply

I'm surprised there isn't a sports and movie equivalent of message boards that are similar to IMDb.

reply

Look for forums for individual teams. Some may have sections or threads about other sports, since fans of one sport or often interested in other ones too.

i'll talk sports with ya

I just wanted to brag about the much-maligned Pac12 owning this year's tournament. It just a damn shame that two of the top teams in the country have to meet in the next round.

reply

Those two will put all their energy in a closely contested game then go out playing a hardly challenged Gonzaga team. Who do you have in the Final ? I got balyor beating Houston & Gonzaga beating Fl state. Gonzaga 88 Baylor 83

reply

I'll take the winner of usc/Oregon over Baylor. Zags don't have any competition in their conference, may get knocked out by Creighton.

reply

That game is the one to watch this weekend & its the finale. I think I may place a bet on the Ducks. Ucla sure does look tough but their getting 6pts vs bama, that maybe another good one.

reply

So now the "sweet 16" are Saturday and Sunday instead of the usual Thursday and Friday, and the round of 8 is Monday and Tuesday, or when? (I would definitely take UCLA + 6--the "JJs," as Bill Walton called them, can really shoot, as can Etienne! Being a west coast guy, I am totally ignorant of Alabama, but I don't think the SEC can compare to the Pac12 this year.

reply

bama will beat "jjs but Flordia State is going on that Side. and you can Doubt the Zags all ya want but like i said Oregon & usc will wear each other Down.

reply

I don't think those 19-21 yr-old kids will be "worn down" by playing a tough game, maybe "sharpened." But one thing for sure is that the west and east regions are way more interesting than the south and midwest, no?

reply

I'm from texas & the Thought of Baylor Vs Arkansas then Baylor vs Houston... naw man that's good stuff

reply

who do you like in the mlb this year?
