If you needed to get a new PC where would you get it from?
I need a safe place online and I don't know if I want to shop at Amazon anymore.

I like going in person. If there's something wrong with it, I can go back.

Also, I like to see it, test it out (Best Buy for example).. Amazon is only good for books, and I only use them as a last resort and try to support local or at least smaller businesses, so I don't mind paying an extra nickel.

Newegg was the place I got all of my parts for the PCs I use to build.
I don't know if I want to spend $800 (that's my budget online) online.

I would build it yourself as it's cheaper and you can get better quality. Can order all the parts online and put it together. Although it does require some research and planning.

I built one in 2003 and It was a lot of fun. I need a laptop for a friend of mine. It's for a birthday present.

I would check out either Newegg or Amazon. Have the most reviews that you can rely on.

Shopping at Dell is a safe place to buy from. I bought a Dell once and I hated it.

Always go for used parts. They hardly ever took damage from pre-owners, even if they were miners.
Pay 1/3 of the price for the latest hardware of 2 years ago.

ONLY MAJOR ELECTRONIC ITEM I HAVE EVER BOUGHT ONLINE IS MY ALL REGION BLU RAY PLAYER.ONLY BECAUSE YOU CANT GET THEM IN STORES REALLY....ALL MY PCS,TVS,ETC ETC HAVE BEEN BOUGHT AT BEST BUY...THEY HAVE EVERYTHING.THEIR STAFF IS KNOWLEDGABLE AND THE GEEK SQUAD ARE VERY USEFUL.
