Parents, what would it take for you to disown your child?
Not a parent, not trying to get disowned, just curious.

shareIf they misuse 'their,' 'there' or 'they're' in a sentence...
That would be to much of a disgrace
.
shareThe usual.
shareThat's hard to say I don't have any kids. It could be a number of things; Religion plays a part in it also.
shareAaahhh,,,Planning ahead are we ? , Looking for reasons before you burden yourself with offspring ! , I like it .
shareSeriously though , I don't think I'd disown my child for any reason , its unthinkable.
shareDisown, or renounce? Disowning usually means cutting an offspring out of a will. It may be part of renouncing, but not the sum total of renouncing. Renouncing a relative means declaring you no longer recognize nor acknowledge a blood relationship between the 2 of you.
A child can renounce a parent. It works both ways, not just 1 way. I believe that renouncing is the best choice for dealing with a truly toxic relative.
I see the OP can’t be bothered to answer my question.
