Face masks in movies

Imagine soon we'll start having show and movies where the characters are wearing face masks. Do you think that'll ever happen? 😷

reply

No. It will immediately date a film.

reply

Just like how they portray the 50s as people always smoking indoor.

reply

And no one ever swore.

reply

Poppycock!

Hey, watch your language!

reply

Balderdash!

Reported for using 19th century profanity!!

I'd give him an Oscar for that

reply

He won a Razzie.

I don't think it will happen, celebs like to see their faces out there (Most of them are WAY better looking than the rest of us after all so who can blame them?)

Also, Who wants to pay for a ticket to see HALF of Rosario Dawson's face?
We deserve to see her entire face!

It's a small but cool part of why I enjoyed Dredd (12) so much

Karl Urban is a legit star and he barely shows his face in one of the most badass action flicks of the last decade
He killed a dozen guys in crazy action fights and you could barely tell it was him...I don't think stars will wear masks on-screen

reply

Correction. They have way better make up artists than the rest of us.

reply

That's certainly true, I fired my last hair and makeup girl because she was doing a terrible job

reply

You're right. Karl Urban should wear a turban in it. At least that way you could see his face and retain the rhyme with his last name.

reply

And instead of futuristic motorcycle, he should drive a Suburban.

reply

While consuming bourbon.

reply

Every movie that has SCUBA divers has had face masks, for decades.

M*A*S*H (1970)

reply

This is Us fall shows incorporated covid masks into the story. The characters would walk on wearing a mask then take it off.

A few shows have had CoVid themes especially the medical dramas. To an extent I get it but do we really need to see what we are living through in our escapist moments?

reply

I hope not. That would be weird....
