I haven't read too many. I do remember that the book adaptation of The Rescue (1988) was much better than the movie. I don't think that was difficult though. I also think that I enjoyed the adaptation of Friday the 13th Part II, I just don't think it was better.

Me too. I remember when I was a kid I read the one for Dumb & Dumber my friend gave to me.

The only one that I can think of that I read was Rambo 2. It wasn't a great book but it was an interesting fleshing out of the story that competently portrayed the violence.

Funny how we can name so many movies based in novels but not the other way around.

Star Trek and Star Wars has spawned numerous novelizations, but I am not familiar with them.

I enjoyed the novelizations of one of my favorite TV series, Upstairs, Downstairs.

You're blowing my mind right now. I had no idea the 2001 novel came out after the film.

reply

When I was growing up I loved the novelizations of two Disney films: That Darn Cat and Parent Trap.
