Do you find the Massachusetts State Flag Offensive?
I don't, but apparently many people are calling for it to be changed because its all of a sudden offensive. People have lost their damn minds.

shareHere's the flag if anyone doesn't know what it looks like: https://static01.nyt.com/images/2019/09/07/us/07massflag-icon/00massflag-icon-superJumbo.jpg
It looks fine to me. They're not making fun of natives and it isn't a caricature. I don't give two shits about the flag of Massachusetts.
It's quite acceptable
The chubby Goombah on the New Jersey state flag is way more insensitive
First time looking at it, what makes me laugh is it would appear the sword is about to be dropped on Tonto's head.
Not offended by it though.
I'm not sure... Is it expensive to live in Massachusetts? How about New Hampshire?
sharegenerally speaking, if you put something on a flag, you're paying tribute to it.
i don't think anyone should be offended by their culture/group being represented on a flag.
I like this theory. What does the writing say? Is it Latin?
shareYou are correct; it's Latin.
From Wikipedia:
The phrase is often loosely translated into English as "By the sword we seek peace, but peace only under liberty." The literal translation, however, is "she seeks with the sword a quiet peace under liberty." The "she" in question refers to the word manus from the full phrase manus haec inimica tyrannis ense petit placidam sub libertate quietem, which means "this hand, an enemy to tyrants, seeks with the sword a quiet peace under liberty.
Perfect thank you. Even more reason to not find it offensive. Obviously I can't speak for native Americans but to me it seems to say that all are equal and we should live in peace. Wise words I think.
shareProbably the same people who find the Chicago Blackhawks logo offensive as well.
sharei don't find it offensive.
sharePeople who find things like this offensive have absolutely no life, and are pathetic worms.
This is no going back, unless people fight back, and tell all of these offended tight wads where to shove it.
yeah sure.
I mean, look at the serif font, it's meant for print. I don't feel included when using a computer monitor.
The colors are also not handicapped accessible. Blue/Yellow (or "Azure" and "Or" in heraldry) is the second-most widespread human color weakness, mostly affecting men. So, it's an additional gender discrimination thing ...
