I'd want to make a movie about the Gracchi brothers, Tiberius and Gaius Gracchus, in ancient Rome. They tried redistributing land from the senatorial oligarchy to the poor, and were murdered for it. The whole event set off a period of great social upheaval. It's one of the most interesting stories in the ancient world, IMO, but it's been largely ignored in popular culture. There was a pretty good episode of a BBC docudrama series about Tiberius, but his brother Gaius was omitted entirely, perhaps because of time constraints. Also it was pretty low-budget, being a TV docudrama. The story deserves a feature film.
