What's your movie idea?

If you could write and direct a movie, what would it be about? Of course, if you're a genuine writer and are working on a screenplay, I don't expect you to reveal your idea to the internet. But if you can at least provide me with a breif synopsis.

Nice try, Hollywood!

reply

LMAO

Hollywood doesn't accept genuine original ideas, don't ya know?!

reply

You can't steal ideas when you accept 'em!

reply

Nice Job!

Stay on your toes people.

reply

Well done Fred😆

Aliens vs Predators vs The Things vs Earth People. People of Earth get slaughtered until they find a way to turn the outsiders against each other.

reply

Sounds epic!
You'll need several dozen writers, a $500 million dollar budget and at least 7 years of Peter Jackson's time...all totally worth it

I thought that the move Hanna (2011) with Saoirse Ronan should have been made as a Jason Bourne film. The basic plot of 'Hanna' ( genetically enhanced girl super soldier from CIA Black Operation ) would have slotted straight into the Bourne world. Hanna could have turned out to be the biological child of Jason Bourne and Nicky Parsons as an offshoot from Operation Treadstone.

You could imagine the scene at CIA headquarters when they ran a DNA match on the blood they found at the park where Hanna shot one of their Agents ( the rogue Marissa Wiegler ) after Wiegler had wounded Hanna. Up would pop the photos of Jason Bourne and Nicky. This would tie up the loose end of the mysterious connection between Nicky and Bourne that was hinted at in 'Ultimatum' I think it was.

I posted about this at the time at some length on the old IMDb boards but obviously no-one in Hollywood read it or was interested if they did.

A failed screenwriter with writer's block makes a post on an Internet movie forum. He solicits ideas for screenplays, so that he can steal them and hold them out as his own.

He prepares and submits a treatment to studios, but is caught. His membership in the Writer's Guild is revoked. He is shocked when he is arrested, prosecuted and convicted of fraud. He's assigned to the same prison cell block as Harvey Weinstein. Together they prepare a play for the prisoners to put on. It's called "The Producers."

reply

Will Harvey be playing himself in this? This could be the comebacks of all comebacks! What about a role for Bill Cosby?

reply

A musical version of Asian Babes Vol. VIII.

I always had an idea about psychiatrist who goes undercover as a patient to secretly treat another psychiatrist.

I have no idea how to make it work or what would happen. But the idea always stuck with me.

reply

Dexter did that. LOL. He treated the doctor appropriately.

I'd want to make a movie about the Gracchi brothers, Tiberius and Gaius Gracchus, in ancient Rome. They tried redistributing land from the senatorial oligarchy to the poor, and were murdered for it. The whole event set off a period of great social upheaval. It's one of the most interesting stories in the ancient world, IMO, but it's been largely ignored in popular culture. There was a pretty good episode of a BBC docudrama series about Tiberius, but his brother Gaius was omitted entirely, perhaps because of time constraints. Also it was pretty low-budget, being a TV docudrama. The story deserves a feature film.

Title: OAP

Tagline: If the reaper don’t get you, he will!

Genre: Thriller/Horror

Location: Nursing Home

Plot outline: A series of gruesome murders happened a year ago in a nursing home, a young carer (who looks and acts creepy kind of like Norman Bates) is wrongly accused of the murders and is given the death penalty.

One year later at the same nursing home, a new elderly resident receives a present from her brother, it’s a Ouija board (or something voodoo), soon after ghastly killings happen again at the care home of murder!

We see death by Zimmer frame, a drowning in a commode etc., but this time it’s not just elderly residents being killed but carers and visitors too.

The police are baffled, nothing is coming up on security cameras, so the detective on the case has an idea, and he calls his father who is a retired ex-cop, his father agrees to take one last case and solve these murders.

The ex-cop becomes a new resident and puts on an act like he’s frail and observes and investigates the care home, but we find out the killer is not some ghost (the Norman Bates guy was a red herring and we only find out he was innocent near the end) the real murderer is a resident who had befriended the ex-cop but is younger than most and who tricked them all by wearing theatrical make up!

Ted Danson to star!

"his father agrees to take one last case"

That swung it for me.

I’d have roles for any old aged acting great too, but especially Morgan Freeman.

This could end up with more sequels than Friday The 13th.
