CLOSED ***Baker's Dozen: Movies set on a small boat ***

Since we did cruise ships, we can try movies set on a small boat. I’ll start with a classic from Hitchcock. By small boat, let’s say less than 25 passengers or 50 feet.

1. Lifeboat (1944).

Going for the golden oldies. That is a great adventure story. The man had to be crazy, but quite an adventure.

I didn’t know there was a “new” one. I know the old Spencer Tracy version. Is it any good?

reply

It’s quite good! Anthony Quinn does a great job in the 1990 version. I actually enjoyed Spencer Tracy in the 1958 version, but the cinematography of the 1990 version takes it, hands down. The film industry has come a long way!
