I have all their albums, saw them at Wembley Arena when John Entwistle was still alive. This is in my top 10 songs of all time: -

Meet the new King, same as the old King...damn, to see that show...tremendous....

I think it was in the 90s (sorry, I’ve been to thousands of gigs - memory banks getting full) and they had more energy than kids half their age. I just wish I’d had a chance to see them when Moonie was still alive.

Some buddies and I made a road trip and saw that. Managed to get great seats too. A once in a lifetime experience!

Nice one Chris, thanks....you really can’t go wrong with this album, one of the truly great achievements in the annals of great rock albums, maybe one of the greatest albums ever in modern popular music...I like how this tune gives us a ‘preview‘ of what’s to come, with pieces of “Love, Reign o'er Me“ sprinkled in to add depth to this magnificent rock opera....

So much great stuff going on in that song: Townshend going both electric and acoustic, Daltery and Townshend trading off vocals (with Daltrey just killing it), time signature shifts, great lyrics, Moon beating the drums like there's no tomorrow, Ox's pulsating bass. Besides, it's hard not to love a song with these lyrics:

"I've had enough of living
I've had enough of dying
I've had enough of smiling
I've had enough of crying
I've taken all the high roads
I've squandered and I've saved
I've had enough of childhood
I've had enough of graves.

I've had enough of dance halls
I've had enough of pills
I've had enough of street fights
I've seen my share of kills
I'm finished with the fashions
And acting like I'm tough
I'm bored with hate and passion
I've had enough of trying to LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE!"
