Somewhat interestingly, I did not plan to buy two of the above listed films. The DVDs for The Bridge on the River Kwai came packaged with The Guns of Navarone (1961) and La Bamba came packaged with The Buddy Holly Story (1978).
Both packages make sense though, as Kwai and Navarone are two great WWII films and of course, Ritchie Valens and Buddy Holly were killed in the same plane crash. The Day the Music Died, indeed.

Did not think much of Twelve O´Clock High. It was watchable but nothing mind blowing. Gregory Peck was good though.

If you type in national registry IMDb list, and then restrict to movies you've seen, you can get a specific number and seconds, no need to count them all. It also might be good to refine what you haven't seen if you're looking for recommendations.
Thanks for the tip. I do like to get MC opinions on movies that are potential "rare gems" though.
