I like Stan Van gundy and the van gundy's in general. They speak their mind and unfortunately for Stan, ESPN didn't give him a job as an analyst because of David Stern, a guy I could not stand.
I don't remember quite how everything went down. I do remember Stan Van gundy being interviewed and then all of a sudden Dwight Howard puts his arm around them and they start talking to reporters.
Howard went behind his back, cried to management to fire Van Gundy, and then tried to play it off like it wasn’t him, and then that interview you referenced....Van Gundy was answering reporters who were asking about reports that Howard went upstairs asking that he be clipped, and Howard came from behind and tried to act like all was cool....not D12’s finest hour...
I’m surprised also, but relieved for the good news.... I have a source in the bubble that some players were complaining about some of the restrictions....I would think that they'd just be happy that they get to go to work while some in the country aren’t as fortunate...not to say there aren’t challenges, but some perspective wouldn’t do any harm to a player...
I was pretty upset when guys were complaining about not having the greatest food on Earth. especially the same guys who talk about social justice when there are tens of millions of people in this country who are in poverty.
I won’t get into the social justice thing, the Hong Kong ordeal and such...I don’t mind any player speaking his mind, just be properly informed if you want to be taken seriously....bottom line and sneaker deals won out on that one, which made made me chuckle when they slammed Daryl Money for being “misinformed”...
I'm guessing Adam silver begged LeBron. I found that whole thing to be quite hypocritical. But I also find it hypocritical when fingers are pointed at China and no one else.
