What do you plan to watch this week?

This week on my list I have:

Snakes on a plane

North by northwest

I'll probably watch a handful of dumb horrors and thrillers on Prime, Netflix and Tubi

My wife is an RN so when she comes off shifts these days she just needs to laugh so she and I are rewatching all of Seinfeld...it's good to laugh!

i think i'm going to watch hacksaw ridge tonight - i've been meaning to get to it for a spell.

edit - actually, i just noticed that there is a wobbly pirated copy of 'looking for mr. goodbar' posted on youtube. i haven't seen it in years, but i remember it being a real downer, a very bleak, unhappy film. i might give that a go tonight instead.

other possibilities:

iron giant
the void
three colors - white - the only one i haven't seen, i believe
news from home
burning
spirited away
the raid 2 - even though it's far too long & has way too much plot, i still wanna see it again.

& i'm probably going to watch danger 5 this week. it just got added to tubitv, and i remember it being great goofy fun.

reply

Did you watch Hacksaw Ridge?
I thought it was excellent, very tense and frightening and the camera work was perfect

reply

i ended up watching watching 'looking for mr. goodbar' instead. criminy, that movie has a dark, twisted, bleak ending. the 70s were quite a decade.

but hacksaw ridge is definitely at or near the top of my watch list. i might leave it until the weekend, though - i see it clocks in around 2hrs 20m, and i generally leave 2hr+ films to my saturdays or sundays.

i really want to catch up with apocalypto at some point as well. that's a film that really wasn't on my radar at the time it was released, but i heard a few interesting things about it recently that made me want to track it down. doesn't seem to be streaming anywhere at the moment, unfortunately.

reply

Apocalypto was action packed and a real thriller, I hope you find it

reply

The Lodge 2019. I got about 6 minutes in yesterday but stopped it. It has a very disturbing scene at the beginning, not sure if I want to continue it. I saw Stuber a week ago very silly fun. 7/10.

reply

ah, this is on my radar as well. it was added to hoopla recently, so i'll probably try to fit this in this week.

reply

Just be aware in the first 5 minutes of The Lodge. Maybe look away if you're sensitive.

reply

i'll keep it in mind.

i used to go out of my way to seek out extreme things, in movies or wherever. less so as i get older, i find. maybe i'm a little more sensitive to some things now...

reply

I RETURNED IT WITHOUT WATCHING IT RECENTLY...STARTING TO REGRET THAT CHOICE

reply

I'll probably finish it. Its free on Hulu. It looks like a mystery, I just didn't appreciate the first five minutes. I felt like they could have done the shot with sound and not the graphic visual.

reply

STUBER!...COMEDY OF THE YEAR FOR KOWALSKI...IVE WATCHED IT LIKE SEVEN TIMES.

reply

We are going to finish the series Defending Jacob.

reply

i was flipping channels on TV in the 90s and landed on killing zoe about half way through. loved it. back then there were no on screen guides, so i desperately searched to find the movie name to see it from the beginning.... well... the first half.... meh.

the heist i thought was great though. btw the second half is mostly french. so be prepared for subtitles.

reply

I’m french Canadian;)

reply

I just started Midnight Offerings on Youtube, the only way to see it. Such a fun movie but I'm watching the worst quality ever, no joke. I would pay 25$ for a clean copy of this tv movie:)
