AS STATED..MY MEDIA LIBRARY NOW INCLUDES A CAGE WITH FIVE TINY KITTENS...MY MOTHER HAS BEEN FEEDING A STRAY,AND LAST NIGHT SHE LEFT ME HER BABIES...FOUR OF THEM ARE SWEET TINY KITTENS...THE FIFTH,THAT I HAVE BEEN CALLING TERMINATOR,BIT THROUGH MY FINGER INTO THE BONE AND KEEPS REMINDING ME HE WANTS MORE...THE SHIT THAT JUST FALLS INTO MY LAP(AND BITES ME)...I SWEAR๐
I get a mouse in the basement and a snake in the garage sometimes...It would be great to have tiny tigers to clear this all up but my daughter is very allergic to pet dander
Are you planning to keep them, find homes for them, or fix them and let them live as ferals?
FYI if you want to keep them, my two darling spoiled house cats started life as feral kittens - alley cats. I can even name the alley they came from. But I got them as kittens and petted and spoiled and fixed them, and they both grew up to be sweet, purry, loving, well-behaved, playful, cuddly, good-looking, perfect inside house cats. One has the nickname of "Cuteness", and the other is "Sweetness"! So yeah, feral kittens can make the best pets, maybe even Mini-Jaws.
I WASNT PLANNING ON ANY NEW ANIMALS...HOWEVER,I KNOW MYSELF...I WONT BE ANLE TO GIVE THEM AWAY IF I RAISE THEM UP...SO...I BETTER START THINKING OF NAMES.
I got my darlings from a local "cat lady", who feeds and fixes ferals, and who's adopted out lots of kittens. When looking for homes for the wee ones she keeps them all together so they can cuddle each other like normal kittens, gives them names, and deliberately doesn't handle them too much, as she doesn't want them to bond with her at that stage.
So with my senior cat, I came over, and was presented with a litter of kittens, and I picked up one and put him on my lap and petted him a few times... and he looked into my eyes, collapsed into a heap, and started purring like a chainsaw. That moment formed a real bond between us, the kind you get with the very best pets, and I'm always grateful that my Cat Lady friend held off on bonding to all the kittens herself... just the one she ended up keeping. So that's one way to deal with a litter of feral kittens.
Just to clarify. Does inside cat mean you never let it outside? I have a cat and we had to get a cat flap cause the Kent kept banging on the screen door till we let her out and it was annoying having to get up everytime she wanted in or out.
YEAH,INSIDE CATS NEVER GO OUT...MY MOTHER HAS FIVE FAT ROOMMATES SHARING HER AVERAGE SIZED BEDROOM WITH HERSELF AND HER 100 POUND GOLDEN RETRIEVER๐ฌ...I ONLY EVER HAD ONE CAT...SHE WAS BEYOND AMAZING...SO WHEN SHE PASSED AWAY AT 18 I NEVER REPLACED HER...SHE WAS FREE TO GO OUTSIDE ANYTIME SHE WANTED.
Yeah I'm under the train of thought that you gotta let a cat be cat. Roam free and what not. 18 years is a good run. My cat is about 12 or 13 I think. Had her since I was in high school.
ANY EYE CONTACT ELICITS A HORRIFYING SNARL AND GROWL...AND MY FINGER LOOKS LIKE A STABBING VICTIM...SO,YEAH...IM SURE THAT CAT WILL TURN OUT TO BE QUITE THE ANIMAL...
TWO WHITE AND GREY MIX WITH POINTY LONG HAIR EARS...ONE DARK GREY/BLACKISH STRIPEY TIGER LOOKING...ONE TINY ALL BLACK WITH THE SWEETEST FACE...AND THE TERMINATOR,WHO IS THE SMALLEST AND MAYBE CUTEST...LIL GREY/WHITE/BLACK CUTIE WITH A PURPLISH NOSE...
