I am surprised at places couples choose to honeymoon.
We did The Yucatan in Mexico 15 years ago..Saw the Mayan Ruins at Tulum and
the river at Xel Ha that flows into the Caribbean Sea
Even back then there were Mexican Police with military rifles every couple hundred feet so I can't speak to how safe it is there just now

shareFrench Polynesia with an overwater bungalow would be wonderful, but I think a glass igloo in Norway watching the Northern Lights would be spectacular! Add a little classical music and a little Pink Floyd and it would be the ultimate trip.

Other places that might be nice - Mauritius, Seychelles, Sri Lanka.

I have been to Seychelles. It is idyllic. Most beautiful beaches I have ever seen.

I forgot to mention Lombok, which is the next island along from Bali, Indonesia. It’s a really laid back, easy going, yet beautiful island. Perfect for a romantic getaway.
