I seem to remember some messed up kid’s cartoon (think it was Animaniacs?) where the butter for movie theater popcorn came from a hose sticking out Roger Ebert’s belly.

THEY HAD TO REEVALUATE THE WAY THE "BUTTER" WAS HOUSED AND STORED IN THE 80S/90S BASEDON CREATIVE THEATER EMPLOYEES "IMPREGNATING" THE "BUTTER" WITH EXTRA FLAVOR.

I haven't had movie theater popcorn in years but would be willing to bet the quality has dropped, just like that of food served in restaurants. It's probably now full of artificial junk and additives, rather than being made of real butter.
