What's the point of slipcovers for dvd's and bluray's?
They annoy me.

shareTo protect the bluray case by keeping the plastic looking new and tight.
Also, they typically only have those when the blurays are new releases. At the $5 bin, they no longer have those. So it's a sort of "proof of purchase" that you bought the bluray when it was new, at its most expensive.
What if they had a slip cover for the slip cover?
shareI think its for marketing purposes. Makes the DVD stand out a little among the others on the shefl.
