it's probably more meaningful to look at deaths/million people.
the us by those measures hasn't been as badly hit yet, but if you look at new york state in isolation, they have 182 deaths per million people, which is higher than any european country except spain & italy.
and of course, we can't just look at where we're at, but where things are going. nj, michigan, louisiana, florida are the primary potential trouble spots in the u.s.
hopefully we're all doing the things that will stop this from becoming too grim.
but criminy i'm worried.
