Exactly right.
Boys of Summer was the lead song on his second solo album, Building The Perfect Beast.

I saw one of his concerts at the James L. Knight Center in downtown Miami ages ago.
Definitely a great show.

I know, I said in my OP Don Henley. Still an “Eagles” song, as in Eagles solo effort. But I wanted to say I think better than any Eagles song.

The music was written by Mike Campbell of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, so I guess you could say it’s half a Heartbreakers song.

Very good!
It's funny how you can hear a song a hundred times and love it yet completely misinterpret the lyrics

A guy I knew in school years ago was convinced that Prince was singing 'I paid the rent come back' in Little Red Corvette LOL!

We gave him hell for that:)
