1. Raiders of the lost ark

3. Krull (1983) - it's actually the best scene in the movie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3w6TQHYHZc8

reply

its 10 mins long do i watch the while thing?

reply

im 4 mins in and im loving it, so far reminds me of a mix between zardoz and the last crusade

reply

Krull a movie i now have to watch but now will be disappointed by cause i've see the best scene.

reply

If you liked the scene, you'll like the movie. This is the best scene (in my opinion), but the rest of the movie is in general quite good. It's classic 80s fantasy, a little lovely jewel.

reply

im amazed im unaware

reply

Well, Krull has been always been the hidden gem in 80s fantasy. Other movies like Excalibur or Willow or Conan or The Princess Bride were widely known, but this one remained as the little forgotten one. I think it deserves better, though.

And it's not the only fantasy movie from the 80s that has been sadly forgotten. The Clan of the Cave Bear is another one, for example (though it's a prehistoric story, not exactly fantasy). Or The NeverEnding Story, which was extremely popular back then and it seems to have vanished.

Here you have a very good list:

reply

yeah i never have heard of clan of the cave bear ether

reply

The movie was based in a french novel that become a bestseller worldwide, from JM Auel. The novel is very good, the sequels, meh. The movie is not as good as the novel (I wish), but it's interesting. Krull is much better, though.

reply

It's a pop culture classic. Was pretty damn corny when it debuted but now it's considered cool.

reply

beer tastes good straight away, wine tastes like shit quick. add time and the wine might improve but the beer will always go flat.

reply

Krull is not what anyone would call a "Great" movie but it is quite good and pure fun to watch.

reply

And it has Liam 'motherfucker' Neeson as a secondary.

reply

now i have to watch it

reply

If you like Liam Neeson, check Rob Roy (1995). It's not fantasy, it's a story about a real medieval Scottish outlaw. And it sure deserves a watch.

reply

ive seen it but not since i was like 8 years old when my dad showed me it.

reply

that web scene was gold.
