What's a moment in a movie that just hit you out of nowhere?

As most of us all know, in the Sherlock Holmes movies with Robert Downey Jr, he had that thing he'd do where just before a fight everything went slow-motion and he'd narrate his plan for the fight before suddenly we'd see everything fastpace through in real time.

I was just reminiscing about how in A Game Of Shadows, we finally have the proper confrontation between Holmes and Moriarty on the balcony. When it becomes obvious a fight is about to happen, the slow-mo begins and Holmes starts his estimation of what will follow. The camera then pans to Moriarty's face and a slow grin spreads as you hear Moriarty's voice intrude on the narration "Come now Holmes...surely you don't think you're the only one who can play this game?". https://tweakbox.mobi/ https://getappvalley.com/ https://vlc.onl

When I saw this movie at a midnight showing, everyone went absolutely apeshit at that moment. I still get shivers thinking of it.

Without spoiling anything there are at least 2 scenes in the 2018 horror movie Hereditary that come out of nowhere and are very disturbing

It's a very good horror movie if you like them

Yes, the ending of Hereditary really "hit" me. The movie to that point had been somewhat subtle and slow paced. And then it just becomes totally unhinged. I liked it a lot.

You must mean Bug Head and Saw Away. That movie was almost too far out there even for me!

Besides obvious ones like the twists in The Usual Suspects and The Sixth Sense, I remember the audience and myself really reacting to Anne Heche suddenly popping up at the car in I Know What You Did Last Summer and the shooting scene near the end in Enemy of the State.

The Da Vinci Code (2006). Early on in the film there is a head on collision scene. It was done very suddenly with no warning and as I have experienced a head on collision myself it had quite a visceral effect on me.

Is this a reddit bot again?

Either that or someone so desperate for attention that they're creating a new account every time they want to repost a thread from there.

When the mom died in Muriel’s Wedding. Saddest character in all film, that mother.
