Not the best Terminator movie, but not the worst, and putting together a review of the franchise really reminds you of the dizzying highs and awful lows we've experienced.
it is solidly not too bad. has a great opening 1/2 hour or so, definitely. takes a bit of a dip after than imo, and never completely takes flight again, but it's pretty good overall, and pretty good things should be appreciated.
not quite as good as the (underappreciated, i think) t3, but miles better than salvation & genesis.
I didn't mind if #2 only postponed Judgement Day and liked parts of Salvation - I always wanted to see the future war and wish they had continued with that story line.
i haven't seen salvation since it was released, and only have the vaguest memories of it. i recall thinking it was a bland bore, but to fair i should give it another try. maybe i'll throw it on tomorrow. i'm pretty sure it's on netflix or prime.
